An independent selection committee will select the award recipients from the qualified nominees in the following categories: advocate, bellwether, caring, cooperative, dynamic, enterprising, essential, luminary, mindful, nurturing, prudent, and vital. These categories represent the gateway to women’s economic empowerment. See the back page of this event brochure for details. The committee will review all nominations and follow the standards set by YWCA Northern Rhode Island. Nominees may be asked to supply additional information if warranted. The committee reserves the right to move nominees from one category to another, as deemed appropriate. Awards will be given in each category unless, in the opinion of the committee, no award is merited. Judges’ decisions are based on the information specified and submitted in the nomination package. The committee reserves the right to check nominee references and confirm all details provided. All decisions are final. Recipients and their nominators will be informed immediately following the selection meeting.
