September is Women of Achievement Month. YWCA Northern Rhode Island is celebrating the achievements of Rhode Island women working for the economic empowerment of women. Join us for the 4th Annual Tools of the Trade Luncheon on Wednesday, September 17 at Kirkbrae Country Club from 11:30am - 1:30pm. Individual ticket(s) are available or reserve a table of tribute to honor an inspirational woman in your life.

Women of Achievement Awards are recognized nationally as one of the most prestigious awards for women. The awards recognizes the best in the accomplishments of women across industry, culture, and public service in local communities. The YWCA Awards will be presented at the 4th Annual Tools of the Trade Luncheon. The theme in 2008 is the economic empowerment of women.
A woman of achievement has made a sustained commitment and significant difference in her community by showing vision, creativity, determination, and initiative. She has achieved outstanding success:
- with exceptional skills for women’s economic empowerment
- being a leader, role model, or mentor
- breaking new ground or old barriers
- as an agent for positive change
- by inspiring others
underwriting opportunities
Underwriting provides name recognition to over 8,000 people, while making an important philanthropic investment in the Rhode Island community. Opportunities are available including luncheon tickets, a table of tribute, advertising, and a listing in the program’s business directory.

Deb Ruggiero, host and producer of Amazing Women, will emcee the 4th Annual Tools of the Trade Luncheon. She is the winner of the 2008 Associated Press Award for best public affairs show and winner of the 2007 and 2005 Metcalf Awards for diversity in the media.
